How was your workout yesterday?  Did you make a Great Work? To quote Milton Glaser in Work is Art: "Work that goes beyond it's functional intention. It moves us in deep and mysterious ways."
A great workout has a way of shimmying it's self into our head. It changes the way we think, feel and work outside of the gym. We have the choice to go through the motions with a "get it done" attitude, or we can open ourselves up to contemplate what our intentions are for each workout.  Maybe it is to develop ourselves into a stronger, healthier, livelier mother, father, sister, brother, co worker, friend you want to be?  Whatever it may be, tap into that. Devote that extra push to your intentions in your last 5 seconds, those lest 5 reps.  This is where it makes the difference between a workout and a day changer.  Those last seconds, those last reps, is where we find yourself and clarity finds us.

Our great workout inspires us, it moves us, it often brings clarity to our life.  Clarity is a funny thing.  It seems as though the more we search for clarity, the more it is like sifting through a pile of ashes for it. We end up with a cloud of dust, soot in our eyes, filthy hands that leave more grime behind than we started with.  I ask you instead of focusing on how you are going to get there, I ask you to focus on your why. Lead with your deep rooted intentions and that deep and mysterious clarity will find you.  Push, pull, run, squat, move with your heart and the rest will follow.
